Yes, it was great that Jews-only J-Big had the genuine article sing for them at their recent gathering.
If there were any doubts about their authenticity and credentials, this should dispel them once and for all.
Tony Greenstein gave me the best and longest laugh today, when I caught up with his blog and saw this very cute post.9 (at bottom of article)
Obviously Tony works tirelessly for Palestinian rights but somehow he rarely misses the chance to have a pot shot at Gilad Atzmon. I started to believe that Tony and Gilad love each other immensely in fact I am sure each of them would each be lost without the other.
I can understand clearly how Tony Greenstein and other anti Zionist Jews are so irritated by Gilad Atzmon, with his recent bestselling book "The Wandering Who" inviting us all to reflect on the questions of what exactly Jewish identity politics are. Gilad also asks what does the "Jewish State" stand for? Both very interesting questions, but it is Gilad's highlighting of the issue as to why Jews operate in racially exclusive groups such as Jews for this and Jews for that, where Tony and others find themselves and their tribally focused groups under the spotlight.
Last year I wrote about Tony and his sudden U-turn on Free Speech. Tony was furious that people had tried to close down his book launch, but the truth is that Tony devotes a lot of his own time to harassing venue providers to those whom he doesn't want to be heard and he even bombards those who dare to share a platform with the voices he wants to silence. The irony of Tony kvetching on about his own book launch being targeted was just too good to miss, I had to write about it see
In his recent blog post yet again Tony fails to notice the irony in his words when he writes"Anti-Semites such as Gilad Atzmon have tried to portray us as being only concerned with anti-Semitism and Jews."at the very same time as he is extolling the virtues of his Jews only campaign group J-Big and telling us how happy he felt at their tribal A.G.M.
It has to be noted that Reem Kelani was invited as an honorary Jew, although as a Palestinian she wouldn't qualify to take part in the J=Big A.G.M. she was at least allowed to provide the entertainment.
We have to ask ourselves how Reem Kelani feels to be invited to entertain a racially exclusive group that she can never join.
